Sign up for eStatements, to eliminate clutter and reduce paper waste.
You can now sign-up to receive eStatements on Personal bank accounts and credit cards so you receive them online instead of receiving paper statements by post. eStatements are a great opportunity for you to reduce the impact of your banking on the environment.
To sign up to eStatements:
An eStatement is an exact replica of your printed bank account or credit card statement. For security reasons, we will not include your name, address and the first five digits of your account number on your bank account eStatements and will not include your name and address (if applicable, the authorised user's name) on your credit card eStatement, your full credit card number will also not be displayed, only the first six and the last four digits will be shown.
All eStatements are displayed in Adobe PDF format. You can print or save your eStatement, using your home or work computer. Make sure that if you do save your eStatement on your computer, that it is in a folder that only you can access. You should not save an eStatement to a computer that other members of the public have access to.
By opting to receive eStatements you are agreeing to accept the eStatement Terms and Conditions of the service. It is your responsibility to check online for your most recent statement.
There is no charge for signing up for and receiving eStatements.
When you sign up for eStatements, you are switching your agreed method of delivery from paper to online. It is your responsibility to view your recent statements by logging in to Online Banking.
If you need a paper statement after receiving an eStatement, you can order one through the 'order paper statement' option in Online Banking. This will produce what is known as an 'out of course' statement and you will receive this in both paper format and as an eStatement.
Adobe PDF is the format used to display eStatements. If you don't already have the Adobe Acrobat program on your computer, you will have to download it. This program makes sure that your eStatement displays correctly every time. For more information on downloading and using Adobe Acrobat please refer to the Adobe website.

A maximum of 28 bank account eStatements can be viewed online on one page. Where you have more than 28 statements a drop down menu will appear with a list of months and you will be presented with statements issued in particular months.
Viewing your eStatements is easy!

Once you have reverted back to receiving paper statements you will no longer be able to access your eStatements online, so you may wish to print your old eStatements, before reverting back to paper, so that you have a copy. If you require a paper version of an old eStatement to be issued to you by post you can order one by contacting your branch. This will be a duplicate statement, and will incur a fee.
Paper statements will be posted to your last recorded postal address so make sure that your address is correct, and notify us if you have changed address.

Your eStatements will be displayed as a list of links issued by date order, which you can click to view the eStatement of interest to you. When the list shows the maximum number of history of statements and a new statement is made available, the oldest will be removed and the most recent will be added to the list.
For bank accounts:
A maximum of 24 months history of your eStatements will be held for viewing online at any one time.
For credit cards:
A maximum of 12 months history of your eStatements will be held for viewing online at any one time.

For Bank Accounts:

A maximum of 12 months of your eStatements will be held for viewing online. If you require a paper version of an older statement to be issued to you by post you can order one by contacting card services on 028 9024 1822. This will be a duplicate statement and will incur a fee.
If you want to change your joint account Bank statements to eStatements the following will apply:
The eStatements service is available to primary cardholders on almost all First Trust Bank credit cards; however it is not available to authorised users and may not be available for your particular type of credit card. For more information contact our customer service adviser team on 028 9034 6034.
If you have viewed a particular eStatement before the word 'Yes' will be displayed in the 'Viewed' column. If you have not viewed the eStatement before the word 'No' is displayed in the Viewed column on the eStatements screen.
Your Statements will be available for viewing online as frequently as you currently receive them by post.
If you wish to change the frequency of when you receive your statements you can do so by contacting your branch.
Your credit card Statements will be available for viewing online on a monthly basis.
Once you are a registered Online Banking customer you can sign up to receive eStatements for any of the eligible accounts on your Online Banking profile. A code card is required to sign up for eStatements
First Trust Bank can, if necessary, suspend your access to eStatements during which time you will revert to the previous arrangement of receiving paper statements by post until further notice. These will be posted to your last recorded postal address so make sure that your address is correct, and notify us if you have changed address.

In some versions of Internet Explorer, PDF documents are not cleared from the temporary cache so a cached document may remain on the computer - to remove this you should clear the browser cache unless it clears automatically.
